Open Distributed Campus
Summary
A Global Service Offered to Universities
Whether it is the ERASMUS-Student from Norway, the DAAD scholarship holder from Indonesia or the researcher from the U.S. wanting to visit a German university, all these academics have one common interest: for questions on their visit to the German university their first contact will be the International Office. To meet the needs of these target groups as well as to ensure that they arrive well prepared, Freie Universität Berlin developed the online coaching platform Distributed Campus.
This highly effective innovative technology is being made available with the transmission model Open DC for the entire German academic landscape.

- simple updating options independent from time and place
- direct and fast communication with the target group
- structured monitoring of students‘ work progress
- combining target groups allows for individual and prompt support
- use of one central platform for all involved staff and international students/scholars
- promoting a positive image of the university by use of innovative technology
